Jazz really is fun!
Whenever I do an arrangement or write a composition for jazz ensemble, it is usually with a purpose beyond simply playing music for its own sake. Usually this will be to get pupils going with a bit of improvisation or to familiarise them with a particular style. You will find the pieces in this section fit the norms of jazz composition and structure and as such, I hope they will be useful in coaching a school ensemble.
