Tango
This is an easy little alto sax concert piece that would fit in the middle of a programme to give the audience a concentration break in the middle of (perhaps) more serious music. I can’t quite remember what inspired it, but I do remember having the idea for the tune and sitting down at the piano to work out the harmony. Somewhere I have the untidy bit of manuscript paper it was all scribbled down on very quickly before I got round to typesetting it properly. The recording is multi-tracked using my ancient but trustworthy Yamaha 62 mk I and our ageing Bentley upright piano (not quite as trustworthy!)
