Francis Clifford
Francis Clifford is a Cardiff-based composer and
arranger, with a very extensive library of compositions
for brass ensemble, brass band, wind band and other
combinations of instruments. Many of his compositions
have been written with school and college groups in mind,
so you should easily be able to find something to suit
your particular group. In the event that you want
something new, he will accept commissions.

PDF Jazz Music
If you want some great sounding contemporary Big Band
charts then you should visit Jim Martin's website.
Jim is a great arranger and composer, and we have a
considerable stock of his charts (and others from his
website) in the Malvern Big Band library. We use them
at every gig we do and they always go down well with
audiences - modern without being weird! As well as
compositions by Jim you will find music by Frank Mantooth,
Don Ellis, Tom Garling and many more.

Saxtet Publications
I have had a great deal of pleasure coaching and playing
in the saxophone ensemble at Malvern St James, and have
made extensive use over a number of years of pieces from
Saxtet Publications. These include composers such as
Karen Street and Nigel Wood, who, like the other composers
represented on the site have extensive knowledge of the
instruments they are writing for. You will find an extensive
library with a good range of challenge and style.

Chris Downton Photography
If you want top quality photos of your musical ensembles,
you can contact Chris by visiting his website. Chris has
photographed all the ensembles currently running at Malvern
St James and is equally at home with more formal group
photos or the more creative approach. You can see some of
Chris' musical photos if you go to the gallery.
Malvern St James
I currently teach clarinet and saxophone (amongst other things!)
at Malvern St James, which is an independent GSA girls' boarding
and day school. The Music Department puts on at least one major
concert each term, showcasing most of our ensembles, and many
others featuring soloists. More information is available on
the school website.
